Before MYTRANSALP
Deciding
Am I fit enough, and which format suits me?
You don’t have to be a pro. But well prepared. As a guide:
- 8 to 12 hours of riding per week in the months before the start
- 100 to 130 km with around 2,000 metres of climbing, without being completely empty afterwards
- An FTP of around 3.0 W/kg is a good basis, but not a requirement
The best test: ride 80 to 110 km with 1,500 to 2,000 metres of climbing on three consecutive days. If you still have something left on the third day, you are on the right track. What counts is not your speed but endurance, pacing and recovery between the stages. Also keep an eye on the time limits.
The right format: Full is the full crossing in seven stages to Riva del Garda. Short is your way in, with 3 or 4 days; the 4-day version also finishes at Lake Garda. Youngster is the full distance for everyone under 25, limited to 25 places.
Solo or team: what is the difference?
A team always starts as a pair, in Full and Youngster. Short is solo only. In a team you don’t have to finish together, but the slower of your two times always counts. You may support each other within the limits of the race rules. Solo, only your own time counts.
I don’t have a team partner yet. What now?
Add yourself to the myTeam Finder. There you will find others who are also looking — filtered by category.
What is included in the entry fee?
The basic package already includes: luggage service, daybag service, long-stay parking at the start, technical service on the route, food and drink on the route, in the MYTRANSALP Village and plenty more. Further services can be added individually. The premium package contains additional services and costs less than booking everything separately. All services at a glance: MY Services.
Do I need a licence, a medical certificate or insurance?
Neither a licence nor a medical certificate. We still recommend a medical check-up before the start. We also advise you to insure your entry: directly when booking through Datasport with ERV (Europäische Reiseversicherung) or privately. Whether and what is reimbursed is governed by the terms of the respective policy.
Can family or friends come along?
Yes. Hotels for accompanying guests are booked directly with HOST. The hot meal in the finish area can simply be paid for on site.
For further services such as the return transfer, the best way to ask is through our contact form.
Booked. What now?
I booked the hotel package and entry through HOST. Do I need to do anything else?
Yes, one thing. HOST books all hotel nights from 19.06. to 27.06.2027 for you, and additional nights on request. As soon as the start location is confirmed, HOST also offers airport transfers from selected airports to the start and back from the finish.
Once your booking is complete you will receive a link to register with Datasport free of charge. This matters: without that registration we are missing your data for the timing. You can also book additional services there. More information is available HOST.
Can I book additional services later?
Yes, until Friday 18.06.2027, 23:59. You book them yourself through your MyDS account at Datasport. The only limited one is the camp, with 100 places.
What do I need for the camp?
Your own mat and sleeping bag. Breakfast is included, and you sleep in shared accommodation. Prices and dates are on the Accommodation page.
Can I change my team after entering?
You change your team name yourself in your MyDS account or through the contact form. Team members can be swapped up to two weeks before the start: the first change is free, every further one costs 50 €. After that no more changes are possible. All changes run exclusively through the contact form.
Can I cancel or transfer my entry?
Deadlines, fees and everything about transfers are in our terms and conditions. Our tip: insure your entry beforehand, see licence, medical certificate and insurance.
When is the route published, and when do I get the GPX files?
We publish the route and the stage towns in December, together with the exact addresses of all start and finish areas. All participants receive the GPX files for download about 2 to 3 weeks before the start, together with our info letter. That letter also contains all other important information about the event.
How do I submit my details for the luggage transport?
3 to 4 weeks before the start you will receive our luggage form by email. Please fill it in either way, even if you don’t need luggage transport (there is a field for that right at the beginning). This applies to each person individually, including team members staying in the same hotel.
Enter your accommodation for every stage there, from the hotel after the first stage through to Riva del Garda. Our bag team does not yet serve the hotel in the start town.
This is how it works:
- You receive your bag (85 x 35 x 35 cm) at accreditation, with your race number in the display pocket.
- Pack a maximum of 15 kg. Every bag is carried by our team — please think of their backs.
- In the hotel: the first drop-off is on the evening of accreditation or on Sunday morning before the start. After that, leave the bag at reception by 6:30 every morning.
- In the camp: from Sunday morning you bring the bag straight to the camp truck.
- Exact times and places are in the info letter.
During MYTRANSALP
Arriving
How do I get to the start with my bike and luggage?
You organise your own journey. Our partner HOST offers an airport transfer, bookable as soon as the start location is confirmed. On request HOST will also pick you up at Munich central station.
If you come by car, use our long-stay car park at the start. It is available from the moment accreditation opens; you will find the exact location in the info letter. After the race our return transfer brings you straight back there. How to get from the car park to the start is also explained in the info letter.
Can I find a lift?
Yes, through the myCarpool Finder. It lists drivers with space left and riders looking for a lift.
When and where does accreditation take place?
- Full and 3-day Short: Saturday 19.06.2027, 13:00 to 18:00
- 4-day Short: Tuesday 22.06.2027, 15:00 to 18:00
You will find the location in the info letter. Bring your valid ID card or passport, or the email with your race number and the info letter. Can’t come yourself? Then someone else may collect your documents, with a signed authorisation and a copy of your ID.
This is what you receive at accreditation:
- Race number with timing chip and participant pass
- Tickets for the additional services you booked
- Hotel bag, daybag and goodie bag
- Short shirt (3-day Short only)
- Race Pack with bottles and bag (only if booked)
You can also sort out open questions or hand in missing information at the hotel check and at HOST, buy gels and bars, and book your massage appointments (premium: arrange them).
On the road
When and where do the individual stages start and finish?
The start is usually at 9:00. There may be exceptions on particularly short or long stages. We will publish the addresses of all start and finish areas here in December along with the route; exceptions to the start times and the cut-off times are in the info letter.
The field starts in three blocks. On the first stage you are assigned by race number, from the second stage by your previous day’s placing. The start blocks open 45 minutes before the start.
What food and drink is there?
Every stage has at least two feed stations, supplemented by further feed or water points where needed. Waiting for you there: fruit, cake, potatoes, water, isotonic drinks, cola and more.
At the finish it continues in the MYTRANSALP Village: with the finish catering of the respective stage town, our chill-out area with smoothies, fruit and vegetables as well as rice and sausages on alternating days, and with our partner Jentschura, who offers alkaline, vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as alkaline foot baths.
Daybag: hand it in up to 30 minutes before the start and collect it in the Village. Pack everything you need right after the finish, for example isotonic drinks, a second pair of shoes or dry clothes.
Personal Race Pack (bookable): the evening before, you hand in your race pack at the race pack station, filled with your own gels, bars and bottles. Your race pack will usually be waiting for you at the 2nd feed station.
Are the roads closed?
No, the roads are generally not closed. The route is secured, though: a lead and a tail vehicle accompany the race group, motorcycle marshals ride within the field, and at all critical points course marshals direct traffic where needed. The route is signposted and dangerous sections are marked on the road. The traffic regulations of the respective country always apply.
What do I do in case of a puncture or mechanical?
Several service cars with professionals and spare parts of all kinds are out in the field. If you can’t fix it yourself, call the race office (the number is on the back of your participant pass) and give them your current odometer reading. So: reset your computer every morning! The race office will send you the nearest service car. Spare parts are charged for. In case of an irreparable defect, or if you don’t want to continue, the broom wagon will pick you up.
How do timing, classification and time limits work?
You receive your timing chip together with your race number at accreditation. Please attach it as shown there. Your age on the day of the first stage determines your age category.
- Full, solo: men, men masters (40+), men grand masters (50+), men senior grand masters (60+), women
- Full, team: men, women, mixed, masters (men, at least 80 years combined), grand masters (men, at least 100 years combined)
- Short (3 and 4 days, solo only): men, women
- Youngster: you ride in your regular category and are additionally listed in the U25 special classification, without separation by gender.
The cut-off times for each stage are in the info letter. What happens if you exceed them is explained under dropping out and time limits.
What happens if I or my team partner have to drop out?
- Time limit exceeded but the stage completed: you receive the maximum time plus a one-hour penalty and stay in your classification as normal. Example: start at 9:00, cut-off at 18:00. If you finish after 18:00, the stage counts as 10 hours.
- Stage not completed: you may continue the next day and still receive your time, but you are listed as “out of official ranking”.
- Joker stage: you may skip or abandon one stage and still remain an official finisher with a finisher jersey (Full and Youngster). From two unfinished stages onwards you are no longer a finisher.
- In a team: if your partner falls into “out of official ranking”, you are automatically listed as an “individual finisher”. Both of you may continue, but you are classified separately.
If you have to give up along the way, the broom wagon will take you to the finish.
After MYTRANSALP
How do I get back after the finish?
Our return transfer takes you back to the long-stay car park at the start:
- Full and 4-day Short: Sunday 27.06.2027, 9:00, from the Info Point Garda Trentino in Riva del Garda (Largo Medaglie d’Oro al Valor Militare 5, 38066 Riva del Garda)
- 3-day Short: Wednesday 23.06.2027, 10:00. You will find the departure point in the info letter.
Your bike: for Full and the 4-day Short you hand it over to our team on Saturday after you finish; place and times are in the info letter. We pack it and load it into the truck. Please remove the pedals, turn the handlebars in and take off any loose parts beforehand — our team will gladly help. Bring your participant pass.
For the 3-day Short you bring your bike to the pick-up point on the morning of departure, where it is loaded onto a bike trailer.
Return journey with HOST: here your bike travels in a bike box. Add the bike box transport to your booking. You will get all further information directly from HOST.
Where do I find my results?
All results can be found on DS Live. During the race a live map shows you where the lead vehicles and the broom wagon currently are. We will publish the links here as soon as they are available.
When and where do I get my finisher jersey?
Right after you finish, in the finish area in Riva del Garda. Riders of the 4-day Short receive their short shirt there; for the 3-day Short the shirt is handed out at accreditation. You state your size when booking and can change it up to three months before the start, so until 20.03.2027. After that the jersey goes into production. If you don’t collect it directly at the finish, we can no longer guarantee your size.
Are there benefits for the next MYTRANSALP?
Yes. As a participant of MYTRANSALP 2027 you receive a loyalty discount and earlier access to registration for 2028. We announce the date of the next edition directly after the event.
